Currently Playing on Greg’s iPod & Music Deals

I’m sure that all of you out there in Internet cyberspace are wondering, “Hey, what music is that kool kat, Greg, listening to these days?”  Well ladies and gents, today is your lucky day.  I’m going to tell you.

I recently went on a music buying frenzy thanks to a few deals I came across.

Did that guy just say he buys music?!?! What a loser! Yes, I do purchase the music I enjoy listening to… and yes, I do know how to download music using bittorrents. Why, you might ask, do I choose to “waste” my hard earned money (I’m pretty sick nasty at scanning a pile of documents to help a company go paperless) paying for music? Well, I have principles and moral standards that I strive for, mkay? Moving on…

This past week, I took advantage of eMusic.com‘s free 25 downloads (“coupons” here), and I signed up for an Amazon credit card that automatically credited my account $30. I don’t recommend signing up for the credit card unless you have self-control.

I do however recommend you check out the eMusic deal. eMusic is paid music download site. You sign up, pay a monthly fee, and you get some many free download credits a month. I’m sure there’s more to it than just that, but you get the idea. So… this discount/coupon I linked above is essentially a free two week trial in which you get a free 25 downlaods.  You can, in all honesty, sign up, grab your free 25 songs, and get the heck out of there without paying a cent. You just have to make sure you cancel within 2 weeks, and the cancellation is as simple as clicking a link. It was refreshing to see. Note that the songs aren’t necessarily the latest and most popular, but there is definitely a lot of quality music there.

Opposed to blabbin’ on like I have a tendency to do, I’ll just list the recent albums I recently bought. I’ve also linked the albums to their corresponding Amazon mp3 download page so you can sample ‘em if you’d like. Relax, I’m not trying to get you to buy anything. I have no incentive like referrals. Radiohead

I just thought I would share my opinion of the decision that the British band Radiohead has made relating to the release of their new album.

FOXNew’s headline reads “Radiohead’s Web-Only Release Threatens Music Industry”

They’re BRILLIANT, and I love the idea! For those of you who haven’t heard, Radiohead has decided to release a downloadable version (actual hard-copy is available sometime in like December) of their new album for whatever price you name. Read more…
